I view therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist. I’m not doing therapy “to you”. I’m doing therapy “with you”.

My Approach

I’m not here to just blame your parents. I believe our past history influences our present thoughts, emotions, urges, behaviors, and relationships, but does not have to define us. I believe change is created by a combination of:.

Increasing our self awareness.

We have prolonged contact with our own minds and bodies. Let’s examine how we’re operating, plus what strengths and vulnerabilities we possess.

Let’s also acknowledge the systems we engage with in our lives that can shape our responses.

Recognizing what we can and cannot control.

If our minds could successfully control life, our initial reactions, and other people, the universe would likely look very different.

Experimenting with new patterns.

The expectation is not perfection, instead being open to trying something different.
